Aging

Follicular Lymphoma Biomarkers

Increasing levels

  • Individuals of ages above 50 had increased levels of non-galactosylated glycans, while the levels of galactosylated structures decreased with increasing age.
  • Bisecting N-acetylglucosamine showed an age-dependency: bisecting GlcNAc is generally increasing with age and seems to reach a plateau at 50 years of age.
  • Glycan Standard 13C Biantennary A1(3) (Sial α-2,3)
  • Glycan Standard 13C Tetraantennary A4-G1a
  • Bis α-2,6-sialylated biantennary glycopeptide from egg yolk
  • Bis α-2,3-sialylated, galactosylated biantennary glycopeptide
